Southern Arizona Eventing Association (SAzEA) invites you to our Spring Horse Trials. Join us for a fun weekend of competition and comaraderie on our extraordinary cross country course, located adjacent to the Pima County Fairgrounds. New tracks and new obstacles await you.

EQUINE VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS: PER USEF GR845 horses must have been vaccinated for Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus within 6 months of entering show grounds. Register/provide your information on line.

SATURDAY 20 NOVEMBER IS TOUR DE TUCSON AND HOUGHTON ROAD WILL BE CLOSED IN THE MORNING. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. YOU MUST USE RITA ROAD TO ACCESS THE FAIRGROUNDS

USEF thanks you for participating in this competition and your support of USEF's continuous efforts to provide the safest environment possible for our athletes and other participants. Strategies for safeguarding athletes continue to evolve, and we are fully committed to keeping pace with best practices.

The purpose of this letter is to remind you that you are bound by the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies, also known as the MAAPP. This includes the SafeSport Training requirement for adult members and participants who have regular contact with minor athletes. Additionally, please be reminded about reporting obligations. Any concerns that are non-sexual in nature, please use the USEF Safe Sport Incident Reporting Form available on the USEF website. Concerns or suspicions regarding sexual misconduct must be reported to https://safesport.i-sight.com/portal and the authorities if a minor is involved. All of this information can be found in the USEF Safe Sport Policy.

Southern Arizona Eventing Association (SAzEA) invites you to our Spring Horse Trials

COVID REQUIREMENTS:

We follow County and USEF COVID-19 protocols, review them here. Masks/face coverings, social distancing, temperature checks and signed waivers are required for EVERYONE. We reserve the right to disqualify competitors for not fully following the rules. Additionally, the county will fine any individual not in compliance $50, as well as SAzEA $500 for every violation. Any fees levied to SAzEA will be passed on to the competitor causing the incident.

If you are a groom, parent, coach, trainer, volunteer, official, vendor or staff you must create an electronic release for the USEA/USEF. Email the electronic release to yourself when you create it, then register and submit the release in order to be admitted to the Pima County Fairgrounds and SAzEA Horse Trials.

Regretfully, SAzEA March Horse Trials (March 20-22, 2020) is cancelled pursuant to directives from the USEF and USEA issued regarding the COVID-19. We are working on as generous a refund policy as possible. We hope to have those details ready within the next few days and appreciate your patience during the process.
In the meantime, the SAzEA Cross-Country course stands ready for use. We are offering Cross-Country schooling for the next two weekends - March 14-15 and 21-22. The membership requirement is waived for these special schooling weekends although all the rest of our schooling policies will apply. If you would like to school or need stabling PLEASE REGISTER ONLINE in the SHOP at southernarizonaeventing.org

We are very sorry to have to make this decision, but the health of our riders and community are our primary concern. We look forward to seeing you in SAzEA Horse Trials on November 20-22, 2020 at the Area X Championship.

SAzEA is thrilled to invite you to join us for our first Horse Trials on Southern Arizona's newest cross country course!  For details see the USEA Omnibus.  Submit your entry and stabling forms before March 6, 2018. You may also enter online here.

Divisions:  USEF Endorsed/USEA Recognized: PT, T, TR, N, NR, BN, BNR 

Note: There is no PT division on the entry form. Please check the P box if PT is your choice.

Friday:  Cross-country course opens-2:00 pm. Dressage Tests of Choice: 12:00-5:00. Show Jumping Tests of Choice: 10:00-1:00 Intro; 11:00-12:15 BN; 12:15-1:30 N; 1:30-2:45 T; 2:45-3:30 P. $25 per test, sign up first come first served starting Friday at 9:00 am in show office.  

Saturday: Dressage-8 am; Show Jumping-10 am.

Sunday: Cross-country-8:30 am. SAzEA reserves the right to change the schedule.  Starting Times: available online Monday March 19th at https://www.SouthernArizonaEventing.org.

Cross-country course closed Monday, March 6 at dusk. Levels may be divided/combined if entries warrant.  We will use paper pinny numbers and rider must provide their own vinyl bib.

Cross-country schooling will be available after the last competitor finishes on Sunday, $35 for competitors, included in $100 non-competitor fee. Sign-up in the office.
